This Personal Data Protection Policy aims to define the principles and guidelines adopted by Société Générale Maritime  ( GEMA ) in the processing of personal data.
It also seeks to set out the conditions governing the processing of personal data and to highlight the obligations incumbent upon Société Générale Maritime with regard to respecting the rights of data subjects (clients, employees, interns, suppliers, etc.) when processing or transferring their data.

GEMA , in its capacity as data controller, undertakes to process and protect your personal data, collected in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 18-07 relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, as amended and supplemented by Law No. 25-11.
In the course of its activities, Société Générale Maritime, acting as data controller, collects and processes personal data relating in particular to natural persons who maintain relations with it, such as suppliers, service providers, partners, and visitors to its website.

Société Générale Maritime is a state-owned economic enterprise, incorporated as a joint-stock company, acting as the data controller of your personal data, with a share capital of DZD 750,000,000. It is registered in the Trade Register under number 99B 0008576 – 00/16 and tax identification number 099916000857642. The personal data collected are determined according to the categories listed below (this list is not exhaustive):
1.    Personal data (surname, given name, date and place of birth, national identification number, passport number, driving licence number, email address, vehicle registration number, home address, telephone number, legal status, tax identification number, trade register number, statistical identification number);
2.    Professional data (curriculum vitae, positions held, administrative reports, salary);
3.    Financial data (bank account number);
4.    Video surveillance data (video recordings of visitors to the headquarters of Société Générale Maritime, as well as its employees).
4. What Is the Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data?
The data are used for monitoring business relationships, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing, communication, and supplier relationship management.
5. How Long Are Your Personal Data Retained?
We retain your personal data for a period not exceeding that which is strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
6. How Does Société Générale Maritime Ensure the Security and Confidentiality of Your Personal Data?
Société Générale Maritime implements and regularly updates appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data, protecting them against any alteration, damage, or unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
7. To Whom Are the Data Disclosed?
Société Générale Maritime does not share your personal data with third parties except where strictly necessary for the provision of its services. The collected personal data are intended for:
•    Authorized departments of Société Générale Maritime;
•    Qualified users within Société Générale Maritime who have signed a confidentiality undertaking;
•    Subcontractors of Société Générale Maritime who have signed a confidentiality agreement relating to personal data protection.
The Public Maritime Services Establishment may transfer your personal data to a foreign country only after obtaining prior authorization from the National Authority for Personal Data Protection, in accordance with the provisions of Law 18-07 as amended and supplemented, and provided that such country ensures an adequate level of protection of privacy, fundamental rights, and freedoms of individuals with respect to the processing of such data.

In accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Law No. 18-07, you have the right to be informed, the right of access, the right to rectification, and the right to object.
